Quite recently I returned to this field of work in Christian Science where I had been practicing As Written: practising successfully five months before going to Boston in JanuaryAs Written:Jan-

Find my patients doing well. some of them much more free from beliefs than I had expected to find them-

Meant to have called at the College on my return from TiltonEditorial Note: Tilton, New Hampshire- but a pouring rain decided me to remain with an invalid Aunt who was going to MichiganAs Written:Mich.

I wish to send to you or Mrs. E. as soon as I can hear from you, for one dozen copies of "Science & Health"Editorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy also other Christian Sci. literature- What money shall I send you for one dozenAs Written:doz. Books?

Am I mistaken in supposing that the Students of the Jan. Class should have a Certificate from Mrs. Eddy?

I have only the receipts you gave me in payment for Tuition to prove that I've As Written: Ive been instructed by Mrs. E.

So many here in the West are claiming to be her Students and are not. that I am prompted to make this inquiry.

My experience in the Class by being mistaken for "some other Mrs. Otis," will I fear give me some confusion in the future. May I say in confidence that Miss Estes my roommate As Written: room-mate was very uncivil to me afterward and during The days in which Mrs. E. was rebuking me, as "one whom she had refused to admit into the Class."

I was so grieved by the occurrence – and Miss Estes so confident that Mrs. Eddy could not be mistaken, that I was a changed woman afterward to her. She is working not many miles from me- Please pardon an allusion to this unpleasant affair?

Very RespectfullyAs Written:Respc't Yours
A. M. Otis

Much love to Mrs. Eddy–
