Manuscript Description: Handwritten by Albert B. Dorman on lined paper from Worcester, Massachusetts.
Editorial Note: Dorman has received a letter (not extant) from Mary Baker Eddy, dated December 18,
1883. In it, she apparently said that he owes her $200.00 ($5,338.43 in 2017) as tuition
for her upcoming class in Christian Science. (The class began on December 27, 1883,
and Dorman was in it.) Dorman reminds Eddy that she had agreed to accept $100.00 from
him as tuition ($2,669.22 in 2017) and that he hopes that Eddy asking for $200.00
is simply a mistake on her part.
