My dear Teacher

I can but write you a few lines of encouragement, after looking over the "Mind Cure" alias "Mental Science" JournalEditorial Note: This is a reference to a monthly periodical published by A. J. Swarts titled The Mind Cure and Science of Life (later renamed Mental Science Magazine)., and see how brave and wise they seem to be and boasting of their freedom, and their disbeliefAs Written:dis-belief in a Spiritual leader, — when all they know, at least the foundation of their writings, all came through you, but my dear Teacher this foam and craze will settle down after a time and their foundation of sand will be washed awayMatt 7:24 ¶Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: Matt 7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. Matt 7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: Matt 7:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. . All I want to know of Swarts is to look at the little things here and there in the JournalEditorial Note: This is a reference to a monthly periodical published by A. J. Swarts titled The Mind Cure and Science of Life (later renamed Mental Science Magazine).. I know he is a fraud, and he thinks he has crept up fast, but he has not, and has got to go back and rectify his little mistake sometime. There is but one way, and that way the right way. Honesty is what we want in this work, and if all true followers of Christian Science can only gain that positive condition of mind which causes error to fade away like the dew before the sun, we can in our unity show to the world the side of true ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science and give credit where it justly belongs. They have only the chaff, we have the little diamonds, which show their brilliancy peculiarly beautiful in comparison with the paste or imitation. Don't As Written: Dont you know that they Manufacture something that shows great brilliancy as an imitation of Diamond, but side of a Diamond can you not see its faults and glaring lights which does not have the acute brilliancy of the real, and they fail to sparkle at all after a while and wear away and prove to be but a temporal affair — and to me this is a fair comparison and beautiful too. The real Christian Science and the imitation or mockery. We must work on and on, and every little stone of our foundation must be laid just so, and our house will stand long after the others are washed away, and our Diamonds continuing to sparkle in the form of the real side of Truth and Christianity bought to Light.

I am now in that Positive condition which you know so well that causes our patients to grow right before our eyes and I am getting where I can stay so most of the time.

I can scarcely hold myself back from going out among the people lecturing and when I favor the thought the Spirit or something pushes me so that I know that I can do it, and I feel that I shall heal if I enter into it many in my audiences. Truth makes me Positive.
