Accession: 485.55.014
Editorial Title: George W. Chase to Mary Baker Eddy, November 18, 1881
Author: George W. Chase
Recipient: Mary Baker Eddy
Date: November 18, 1881
Manuscript Description: Handwritten by George W. Chase on lined paper from Newburyport, Massachusetts.
Editorial Note: Chase tells Mary Baker Eddy that he has seen two medical doctors. They have said that the ailment is "kidney trouble," and one thought it could be Bright's Disease. One of the doctors was asked if he thought that poison of any kind could have caused it, but the doctor didn't think so, although he said it could have caused the swelling. Chase says that the two doctors he went to are the best in his area. One is a homeopath and the other an allopath, and they both agreed. Chase mentions that Samuel E. Todd went with him to see the doctors.
