The enclosed testimonyEditorial Note: This testimony appears to have been published in the October 1886 issue of The Christian Science Journal. to the saving power of Christian Science, which was sent to us I deem a remarkable one and as Mrs Deacon Walker is widely known in the Boylstons & Clinton & Worcester it would be helpful to the cause to have it published in the next Journal, - both sides of the family are strongly entrenched on the Theological ground of the divine will for us to be sick, except her husband. The case is very instructive in showing how readily truth & love are germinated in the good soilMatt 13:1 The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side. Matt 13:2 And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore. Matt 13:3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; Matt 13:4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: Matt 13:5 Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: Matt 13:6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. Matt 13:7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them: Matt 13:8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. Mark 4:13 And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables? Mark 4:14 ¶The sower soweth the word. Mark 4:15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. Mark 4:16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; Mark 4:17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended. Mark 4:18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, Mark 4:19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. Mark 4:20 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred. no matter what our environments are. We should be delighted to have that promised visit this month if it is possible.
