My very dear friend

Am in receipt As Written: recipt of your letter dated March 11hEditorial Note: This letter is not extant. asking if I know anything of Dr. Henry Raynolds - a temperance lecturer As Written: lecturrer I do, at least I think he is the same man that did such a grand good work in Lansing some years ago, the originator of the red ribbon movement Mr Raynolds & wife (I do not remember that they called him Dr) were in Lansing some time and were very much respected &. loved he not only did good work here but his name was a household word all over the state. If they are the same I know nothing but good of him –

Am not personally As Written: personly acquainted with Mrs M. Lathrop but have met her several time in Lansing she has been a very active suffragist as well as temperance worker I know nothing but good of her - In regard to their whereaboutsAs Written:where abouts I know nothing but you might be able to ascertain that by addressing The Slayton Lyceum Bureau, Central Music As Written: Mucic Hall Chicago Ill – If I can learn anything definite in regard to them within a few days will write again.
