My Dear Teacher;

Mrs. Eddy excuse me please for absenting myself so much from the meeting of late; It is I assure you no lack of interest in the meetings or of love for you for indeed I love you more and more all the time.

The more I see and hear of the underhand work and learn of the traitors the more my heart goes out As Written: oute to you. It does seem hard after all the teaching and hours spent with your students that there should be so few who are true to you and themselves. I do believe if we obey your teachings we shall never drift into that vile current; and I do pray to my God to keep me that I may not go as so many have gone. God bless you my dear teacher.

Lovingly
H. D. Jones.
