Accession: 501.56.007
Editorial Title: Anna B. Newman to Mary Baker Eddy, March 1, 1880
Author: Anna B. Newman
Recipient: Mary Baker Eddy
Date: March 1, 1880
Manuscript Description: Handwritten by Anna B. Newman on lined paper from Roxbury, Massachusetts.
Archival Note: Mary Baker Eddy usually did not accept students into her classes who were suffering from illness until the illness was healed. Anna B. Newman did not study with Eddy until March 1881.
Editorial Note: Newman tells Mary Baker Eddy that she has asked for Christian Science treatment from Clara E. Choate, as Eddy has told her it would be best for her to be healed before entering Eddy's class. Newman, however, feels strongly that she belongs in Eddy's next class and when she sees Eddy at church on Sunday, she hopes that Eddy will find her sufficiently healed to enter the class.
