Yours of this dateEditorial Note: This letter is not extant. received – My friend whom I introduced to you is a gentleman and I believe him to be a Christian – I never saw either of the ladies that you speak of and know nothing whatever of them- We heard a course of twelve lessons on "Christian Science" by a Mrs. Balcomb in DetroitEditorial Note: Detroit, Michigan which made us desirous of hearing more from the fountainheadAs Written:fountain head i.e. yourself– I have read your bookEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy more or less during the past two years – and by so doing have become much interested in your work – and for a long time have wanted more light on the subject– We came to Boston expressly for this purpose– I have been hoping that you would be ready sooner than your last implies because of what you said more than anythingAs Written:any thing else – but of course we will have to await your convenience in order to avail ourselves of your instruction—

I will be very glad of an interview with you if you will appoint a time – and I do not wish you to give your time to me- for I would rather pay you for it-
