Accession: 508.56.006
Editorial Title: Samuel G. Todd to Mary Baker Eddy, July 27, 1879
Author: Samuel G. Todd
Recipient: Mary Baker Eddy
Date: July 27, 1879
Manuscript Description: Handwritten by Samuel G. Todd on lined paper from Rowley, Massachusetts.
Archival Note: This is Todd's reply to a letter dated July 25, 1879, from Mary Baker Eddy that is not extant.
Editorial Note: Todd tells Mary Baker Eddy that he'd hoped to see her before she went away but was not able to. He prizes what Eddy has taught him. He hopes she can find a "new field" that will be better than the present one. (At this time, Eddy was considering moving to Cincinnati.) He shares experiences he has had in talking with people about Christian Science. In one case, he talked for about five minutes with a lady whose wrist was becoming deformed and very painful. He received a letter from her saying that her wrist is now normal and that Todd cured her. She did not believe in Christian Science before, but she now does.
