Editorial Note: Eastman mentions that he has Eddy's letter at hand and asks that she come see him
at her earliest convenience. He writes that he is not aware that he has committed
any crime and if there are any plots against him he is prepared to meet them. He writes
that his foot is getting better and he hopes to be out and about in a week or so.
