Editorial Title: Charles J. Eastman to Mary Baker Eddy, July 22, 1882
Author: Charles J. Eastman
Recipient: Mary Baker Eddy
Date: July 22, 1882
Manuscript Description: Handwritten by Charles J. Eastman on embossed lined paper from Boston, Massachusetts.
Editorial Note: Eastman is glad to have heard from Eddy that she has found "a delightful country boarding place," referring to her time in Vermont. He writes that he has not seen any of the occupants of the Massachusetts Metaphysical College at 569 Columbus Avenue, but he assumes they are all well. Eastman mentions that he has not had any applications for private instruction in surgery yet, but he expects some after August. He is very busy at present. He says that when Eddy returns home they will "make things hum" in the Massachusetts Metaphysical College. Eastman writes that he misses Eddy very much and regards her as a dear friend and near to being his sister. He expresses a hope to have Eddy nearby where he can look after her. He tells Eddy to have a good time and enjoy the mountains and fresh air and come back with renewed vigor as they had when in their school days.
