Accession: 519.56.024
Editorial Title: Maria Austin to Calvin A. Frye, February 27, 1884
Author: Maria Austin
Recipient: Calvin A. Frye
Date: February 27, 1884
Manuscript Description: Handwritten by Maria Austin on lined paper from Lynn, Massachusetts.
Editorial Note: Austin is replying to a letter (not extant) from Calvin A. Frye inquiring about a delay in sending the rents from Mary Baker Eddy's tenants, in particular, Charles H. Breed and Maria Breed. Austin explains the delay is due to the Breeds not yet having some money that was due them, and so she is waiting a bit longer to receive their rent and send it to Eddy. Because the Breeds are longtime tenants of Eddy's, she expects that she will receive their payment. She ends her letter by saying that if Frye is not happy with her efforts at collecting rent, he is welcome to do it himself.
