Accession: 549.58.011
Editorial Title: M. A. Hinckley to Mary Baker Eddy, December 20, 1882
Author: M. A. Hinckley
Recipient: Mary Baker Eddy
Date: December 20, 1882
Manuscript Description: Handwritten by M. A. Hinckley on lined paper from Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
Editorial Note: This is a response to a letter (not extant) that Hinckley received from Mary Baker Eddy. Hinckley tells Eddy that as much as she wants to gain a knowledge of Christian Science, she is unable at present to come to Boston to study with Eddy, even if Eddy offered to allow her to attend a class at no charge. She says she will have to be patient until the time is right. The rest of the letter is a long, rambling discourse on some of Hinckley's ideas about theology and metaphysics.
