Editorial Note: Hopkins is replying to a letter she received from Mary Baker Eddy, dated December
13, 1883. (See V00796Click link to view V00796 document in new window and V00797Click link to view V00797 document in new window.) Hopkins has been accepted into Eddy's class that begins on December 27, 1883, but
she writes to Eddy regarding her confusion as to Eddy's expectations for Hopkins'
payment of the tuition for the class. She also speaks of her plans to practice as
a Christian Science healer and offers assistance to Eddy in Eddy's efforts to establish
the cause of Christian Science.
