I send you herewith a check for F. P. Farrars rent to June 1st $40.00Editorial Note: $40.00 in 1884 is the equivalent of $1,107.56 in 2017.

Have not been able to sell the place yet for Farrar will not let the parties look the house over.

Hope I may succeed better soon.
