Manuscript Description: Handwritten by Charles Thomas Lord on lined paper from Berwick, Maine.
Editorial Note: Lord tells Mary Baker Eddy that he has paid Edward A. Libby to teach him Christian Science and that through Libby, Lord obtained Eddy's books.
Lord believes that what Eddy writes is true because she teaches what Jesus Christ
taught and demonstrated while he was on earth. Lord is currently giving Christian
Science treatment through prayer to a friend who is blind and asks for Eddy's advice
on the case. Lord is poor, with a family to support, and cannot pay Eddy for her advice.
He says that God will pay her. In closing, Lord orders Eddy's pamphlet, Christian Healing.
