I also found that he hadn’t As Written: hadent learned any more than I had learned from reading the BooksEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy I got of you – I told him he had thrown away his time and money – I Received a letter from my Son today he Said Both of the ShermansEditorial Note: Bradford Sherman and Roger Sherman had been down to learn of you – that was just as I told him if I was going to learn (which I intend to) I would go to the fountain head to learn it. I think it is a Shame for anyoneAs Written:any one to take people’s As Written: peoples money and learn them nothing. and a great injury to the causeEditorial Note: The cause of Christian Science. which I think a good one – I Regret very much being So near Boston that I cannot go down and See you. but circumstances are Such that I cannot this time – I intend Some time if I live to join your Class. When I do I don’t As Written: dont want to make half way work of it – if it is in me to learn it I am going As Written: agoing to do it.

My Son writes me you are talking of going to Chicago about the first of MayEditorial Note: Mary Baker Eddy taught a class in Chicago in May 1884. I do hope you will I Shall be back there about the 5th or 6th and would like to Meet you –
