I write to you to correct a mistake in the address of my paper caused probably by Mrs. Smith with whom I signed or subscribed for. it. She seems to not be a very good hand in getting names right, on account no doubt of her being rather deaf. She always called me Mrs. Boyd, but in sending my name to you She has got the whole of it wrong. I notice you direct the paper to Mrs. Cordelia Boyd. whereas it should be Mrs. Cornelia Boyle. It does not make so much difference while I am here, as the Post OfficeAs Written:P.O. clerks know me, but if I should go away anywhere As Written: any where else and send for my mail, or if they get in new P.M. I might not get it. I just receivedAs Written:rec. the MarchAs Written:Mar. number yesterday and have been reading it. I send mine to a cousin in Iowa when I have read it. I would like to be in Boston, and able to attend your class and hear your sermons. I have read the bookEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, it is very interesting, but some of it is hard to understand, and realize, especially when we have been taught so differently, for instance – “the spirit being outside the body – instead of inside”. although it is reasonable when we come to think of it. I am naturally, before hearing of your doctrine something of a scientistEditorial Note: Christian Scientist. A great deal of my ideas & beliefs were like those set forth in your bookEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. I would like to own them were I able to buy them. I would like your pamphlet on “Christian Healing”, you mention in your paper, and if Mrs. Smith has not got it, I will enclose 25 cts.Editorial Note: $0.25 in 1885 is the equivalent of $6.62 in 2019. in Stamps for it. Please see that the address to my paper is corrected and oblige

I thoroughly sealed this up when I did not mean to, & tore the letter. Mrs Smith wishes me to say that Mrs. Thomas Morse has never received any of the papers, and she sent her name when she sent the list. or at the same time mine was sent. You can begin now with the MarchAs Written:Mar. number Mrs. Smith says to send to Mrs. Morse, to run for a year from that number, I enclose stamps for the pamphlet.
