 surprised to find myself overcoming my nervous spasms
 without the aid of medicine; and ever since then I have
456:6been improving, and I now can walk twenty miles without
 fatigue, and have been able to rise above all ailments.

. Davis is writing to thank Mary Baker Eddy for Davis' healing through Christian Science. She had been suffering from illness for the previous nine years and was healed after studying Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, which was introduced to her by Delia S. Manley, a student of Eddy's with a healing practice in Fall River, Massachusetts.

Dear Mrs Eddy,

I write to thank you for What, The Science you teach has done for me. I had been a nervous sufferer for nine years. had a belief of incurable disease of the heart, and was subject to severe nervous prostration if I became the least weary. I was told I should read your books they would cure me. I commenced reading them , in ten days I was surprised to find myself overcoming my nervous spasms without the aid of medicine. and ever since then I have been improving and I now can walk twenty miles without fatigue and have been able to rise above all ailments .
