Accession: 679B.76.045
Editorial Title: Pearl D. Hoyt to Mary Baker Eddy, September 28, 1883
Author: Pearl D. Hoyt
Recipient: Mary Baker Eddy
Date: September 28, 1883
Manuscript Description: Handwritten by Pearl D. Hoyt on lined printed statonary of the Geneva Grape Sugar Co. from Geneva, Illinois.
Editorial Note: Hoyt has learned of Mary Baker Eddy and her teachings from Bradford Sherman and Roger Sherman in Chicago. He asks Eddy if there would be any advantage to studying Christian Science at the Massachusetts Metaphysical College in Boston, or if an equal result could be gained from studying with the Shermans in Chicago. Hoyt asks about the costs of studying with Eddy in Boston. A notation on the letter indicates that it was answered on October 7, 1883. (See L15520.) (There is no evidence that Hoyt ever studied with Mary Baker Eddy.)
