I have read “Science and Health”Editorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy., with much interest. Will you have the kindness to inform me what other publications you have, which will aid one in understanding this science of mind controlling the body?
I am a teacher and know very well that no fault of conduct is thoroughly corrected or overcome till the pupils own mind does the work. I think a stronger will may seem to cure the trouble, but that removed the fault re-appears. I am not skilled in mental philosophy, for I never enjoyed thinking of my mind in joules As Written: jouils or sections, but rather as one something, of more consequence than anything else, except the same something possessed by others. I use mind and spirit as synonymous As Written: synonomous terms. I know I shall never die, and have no fear of the phenomenon which we call death. While I do not fear it, I still must think that the material body is subject to change or decay, which the spirit cannot control. The Savior’sEditorial Note: Jesus Christ material body suffered death, but what then became of it? I should like very much to be present at your lectures, but presume your hours are such that it would be impossible. Please state your hours for giving instruction in this ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science, also your terms for attendance.
