I feel I must tell you how grateful As Written: gratful I feel to you for your system As Written: systine of MetaphysicalAs Written:M. Healing— Last Summer I was treated by Dr. Osgood of CharlestownEditorial Note: Charlestown is a neighborhood in Boston, Massachusetts.– And very much benefited– He loaned me your "Science & HealthEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy"– I became very much interested

He told As Written: toled me of you & of your work– I wished so much to then go to your M. College–

I had not the money I felt I could use for the purposeAs Written:perpose & could not be from home as I have a family–

A lady from LawrenceEditorial Note: Lawrence, Massachusetts came to N. H. on a visitEditorial Note: See 703A.83.016. and I gave her 50Editorial Note: $50.00 in 1884 is the equivalent of $1599.57 in 2024. to teach me what she could of ChristianAs Written:C. Science– She got me your books– This Winter I have treated my own family very successfully–

The older ones think very much of it– But the little ones take it in at once & you would be amused to hear them talk when they get hurt – Seem to have taken cold (as we used to say)—

I hope the time will come when I can go to BostonAs Written:B. & take a course As Written: cours of study with you–

I was brought up in the CatholicAs Written:Cthc' faith & have been a Professing christian As Written: chrestian for many years– Your rendering As Written: rendirng of Scriptures – are new to me of course– I want very much your "Key" and feel I must have it– Wish I could have it without buying the other books too as I have just got them— But I am very often asked to loan my books think I will send & have some to lend–

I take your "Journal of C. S. and like it very much–

Do pardon me for writing so much I only intended to let you know I appreciated your work–
