Dear Mrs. Eddy

I have been thinking for some days it was time the “Journal of C.S.” came, am I right? I find the Feb. number ended the year – but I subscribed in Dec. and have had just the two numbers – Mrs. Colby of Lawrence subscribed for me. She told me about the paper & I said at once I must have it –

I am very much interested in “The questions & answersEditorial Note: This was a column that appeared in issues of The Christian Science Journal at this time, in which Mary Baker Eddy answered questions about Christian Science that she had received.” I enjoy – all of it – I called at the College last Winter for some booksEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures for friends whom I have interested in “C. ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science” – I was so glad that I saw you – and heard you talk for a few moments – You gave me the best treatment I ever had – I went out feeling I was in a new world – I was with Mrs. Colby of Lawrence some time last Fall & she taught me what she could of M. ScienceEditorial Note: Possibly, Mental Science Her heart is in it -- & I do believe As Written: belive she understands some thing of it.

But no one I am convinced can teach it like yourself. And if my family cares are ever so I can consistently leave home I shall go to Boston As Written: B. & put myself under your instruction –

Mrs. Colby is not one of your students I am aware but is a warm friend As Written: frind & great admirer of yourself – Do excuse me for writing so at length – but I cannot feel I am writing to a stranger – Ever since I looked into your face & felt the pressure of your hand I have never thought of you as a stranger – I know I must not trespass on your precious time

Will you please see I have the April number of the “Journal” –

And oblige your

Grateful As Written: Greatful friend As Written: frind
