Soon as I receivedAs Written:rec'd your answerEditorial Note: This letter is not extant. I wrote Mrs, Julia S. Cook my daughter who lives in York, NebraskaAs Written:Neb. enclosing your note, advising her to be treated by Mrs. Fenn of OmahaEditorial Note: Omaha, Nebraska. My letter was miscarried so I did not receive an answer until the 9" Feb. She was to write Mrs, Fenn Sat. the 6th. It seems that "thickening of the womb" means tumor. Her York Doctor found it last May - and she worried all last summer fearing to let me know - very foolish child, when I might have done her much good. Is Mrs. Fenn a skillful As Written: skilful healer? Can you dear Lady send thought to heal my dear child? Yet I feel that she can be helped, felt so before I wrote you. I have sent your paper to my daughter, I will enclose stamps for the pamphlet, spoken of as next to "Science & Health"Editorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy price 10 ctsEditorial Note: $0.10 in 1886 is the equivalent of $2.75 in 2020. I read the magazine with much pleasure and profit, When my children were very young, any little ill, send for the Doctor, frightened - to see him come was salvation - I said to A. L. "When do you think I will be old enough to keep my children from being sick" He answered, as though As Written: tho it were an impossible I did ere long, learn to do without my doctor It has always been a mystery to me why so many sick - die? So has it seemed to me that the Physician of soul and body should be united I am 64 - a widow these 18 years. My daughter in NebraskaAs Written:Nebr A Son in Marquette Michigan I live alone. I want to be of some use in the world, and what I would like to do is to heal the sick. I think I have some of that power, But to afford to take the course unless I could be quite sure of success; To be better wiser is what I pray for. I like better to read works As Written: woks on religion, than to read the Bible Am reading now by Canon Farrar "Seekers after God". What do you require for recommendation of character. What are your lowest terms for instruction? My father was a universalist preacher - also a Doctor not M,D, but skillful As Written: skilful to help people.
