Dear Madame.

I would have preferred to have seen you and spoken to you yourself, but as I know that your time is very precious I select this way of communicating myself with you.

I was to see Miss Bartlett last week, wishing to join her next class. And I am very anxious to do so, but as I was thinking todayAs Written:to day over the great work I was going to enter into, and knowing my own ability what languages concern (I have studied five languages thoroughly), I thought, that maybe As Written: maybee you yourself would prefer to have me as a scholar. You must not think that I have the least doubt about Miss Bartlett’s As Written: Bartletts excellency as a teacher. I do not know whether As Written: wether she is in your employment or not, nor can I say more than I said to Miss B. 50% now and more afterwards. But I only state this and leave it entirely with you to decide and do with me what you please. I hope the class will begin soon, and that I may be informed when.

Yours very respectfully
Anna Wallberg.
