But from the first God has been to me less in the work than your teacher dear Mrs Lathrop and some others

Now I understand why and will tell you dear one and hope and doubt not that you see at once that divine Love is over all and knoweth what is best for individuals and nations. My counsel has taken care to look the matter up faithfully as to international copyright law and the translation of our works into other languages and this is his decision As Written: decission

"I as your counsel forbid the publication of a translated book on legal grounds"

I see clearly from his investigations that it would involve a line of action that must be detrimental to our Cause the cause of Christian Science

The English tongue will erelongAs Written:ere long become the universal language and you, dear one, have acquired much Truth in studying my bookEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy as you translated it. So we will thank God for it all

Your translation is of no value to you or to me as it now stands, and you need not send it to Mr. McKenzieEditorial Note: Eddy had recently written to Tournier, asking her to send her French translation of Chapter XIV of Science and Health to William P. McKenzie. See L05581., if you have not.

But dear, I want to make you and Mrs. Roberts a slight gift for a remembrance thereof. I enclose check for $20Editorial Note: 20.00.
