Enclosed please find check for Mr. Walker to aid in carrying out his plans and it is hoped that they will be carried on with the least possible delay.
In reply to your question Mrs. Eddy says yes, have Mrs. McLellan take the position. I think it would be well for her to call here at an early date at 2 p.m. The talk about ample closet room for bedrooms still seems to be an anxious question to the person who talked to you when last here.
I think there should be an iron gate to the driveway at East of the house, on Beacon Street. If there is any digging necessary to make piers to hang the gates on ought it not to be done at once, before the ground gets frozen? Also there should be a cable laid between the house and the stable for the telephones from house to stable and cottages. That ought to be laid too at this time should it not? The cable we have here has only two wires in it; and I have alway regretted there was not more wires in it. Why not have a cable with eight or ten wires in it so we can make separate As Written: seperate connections if desired. Could the wires for the Electric elevator et ceteraAs Written:&c connect with the house in that way, instead of having the wires come straight from the street to the house? It would shut off some of that loud buzzing that is apt to be during high winds.
