I have corrected one part mostly; have gone to “Healing the Sick“Editorial Note: “Healing the Sick” is the title of the last chapter in the first edition of Eddy’s book, Science and Health. It begins on page 368 of that book. in connections principally of the ambiguity the printerEditorial Note: Eddy found mistakes, made by the printer, in the first edition of Science and Health. left the meaning of the sentences in.

There are grammatical errors in ErataEditorial Note: An “Errata” section at the end of the first edition of Science and Health corrects some of the mistakes made in printing the book. and some in the bookEditorial Note: first edition of Science and Health doubtless that I have not touched and are there yet and if you see them and are sure of what is right in the case correct them but not otherwise don't meddle with the punctuation but mark any doubtful cases so you can point them out to meEditorial Note: Eddy was apparently at this time working on revising Science and Health in preparation for the publishing of its second edition, which appeared in October 1878. She would often revise Science and Health making revisions in pencil in the previous edition. Our next printer should have a proof reader who is responsible for this I sometimes think it may not be I can hold on till the next edition is out.

Will you not help me so far as is in your power, in this way? Take Miss NormanEditorial Note: “Miss Norman” was in Eddy’s February 1877 class. she is an interesting girl and help her through she will work for the cause but she will swamp me if you do not take hold I am at present such a tired swimmer As Written: swimner , unless you do this I have more than I can carry at present Direct her thoughts and everybodyAs Written:every body's else that you can away from me, don'tAs Written:dont talk of me. I wish I could tell you about Rev Dr. Hall'sEditorial Note: Possibly Christopher Newman Hall. call on me, and Dr. Willis's of Boston he is an homeopathic Dr Don'tAs Written:Dont materialize with that BookEditorial Note: Science and Health, what you most need is Love, meekness, and charity, or patience, with everybodyAs Written:every body. These things would increase your success; popularity is not to be hoped for. it cannot be had consistently with Science. A “Key to the Scriptures” was not added to Science and Health until the sixth edition, published in 1883..
