Your proofEditorial Note: It may be that Mary Baker Eddy had engaged James Ackland to do proofreading on copy for the third edition of her book, Science and Health, which was published on August 17, 1881. This could also possibly refer to Eddy’s request that Ackland print 1000 copies of her manuscript, “Private Directions for Metaphysical Healing.” See V00769 for a copy of this manuscript. arrived today, many thanks.

I see I should have corrected it in copy So many copied it before you they made those blunders, and to tell the truth I have not had time to examine it before another one took it.

I hope you will tell the printerEditorial Note: The printer for the third edition of Science and Health was John Wilson and Son, University Press, Cambridge, Massachusetts. that neither you nor I produced such a copy as he found and tell him to charge the extras to me
