My dear Student

There has a lady just called and left, that Mary told me had called and I told her to tell all callers I should not be at home during my vacation. Now this troubles me exceedingly for after she had gone Mary told me the lady was Miss Clark and I had engaged to see her! I do not remember the name, but I do remember now of making an engagement with a pleasant looking lady what her name I cannot tell. Won'tAs Written:Wont you dear Student ask her (Mary says you know her), what she wished to see me about, and I will answer by mail? I recollect booking the name of one of your patients for my next class, was this the one? Please make my apology to her and if it is important I will see her. Expect to go away Monday.

Ever Thine
