Dear Mrs Eddy.

Your message was gladly rec’d by more than my self. I wish to write to you of Mrs Julia Brady, an acquaintance & well tried friend of mine. I have known her for nearly two years, and so far have found her one of the truest women I ever knew, and feel that when she has the right understanding of this scienceEditorial Note: Christian Science, that she will be a great benefit to humanity. I had taken her as a pupil, to pay me when she could. And now her only drawbackAs Written:draw back, and that a serious one is the money to pay down for her tuition. I can truthfully say that had I the means would willingly pay her tuition rather than not have her a worker in the causeEditorial Note: Christian Science. She is a Mother of six children, and with all her poor health in years past, never so poorly, but what she could & would do some good to others. I want to go to you & get ready for the battle of life. I feel that Mrs Brady will be an earnest worker for truth, should you consent to take her, & there is one other I would mention. Mrs Hill of whom I wroteEditorial Note: See 506.56.011. you some time ago, as soon as I was told by Dr. & Mrs Sawyer that I was all & entirely in the wrong, I wrote to Mrs Hill to stop her work experience is a good school and makes us the better. Mrs Hill had only paid me $15.00Editorial Note: $15.00 in 1884 is the equivalent of $415.33 in 2017. and that I shall refund to her, and shall see her soon.

Mrs Brady will enclose a letterEditorial Note: This letter is not extant. with this to you & in your reply to that please state what you can do for Mrs Hill.

I know that our Heavenly Father will guide & direct you in this work.
