Aug 21st 1880 __
I think our letters have all gone through the mail to their destination, we received yours in explanation of your letter that enclosed ours that you returned. through accident, and we were more than overjoyed to find the occurrence only a mistake.
We were taken aback a little at your wife's As Written: wifes conclusions, but if you think best under the circumstances to do as Mrs. E. proposed to you relative to the house, you will be welcome to do so; as far as our feelings are concerned they are unchanged toward you and family.
When we see you we can talk as we cannot write, not knowing who will read our letters. We shall be back to see you as soon as the first or second day of September As Written: Sep. when we can express ourselves more fully—Mrs. E. joins in love to you and family
N. B.Editorial Note: Nota Bene
We think best not change our address as we leave here so soon
