Editorial Title: Clara E. Choate to Mary Baker Eddy, March 17, 1881
Author: Clara E. Choate
Recipient: Mary Baker Eddy
Date: March 17, 1881
Manuscript Description: Handwritten by Clara E. Choate on gridlined paper from Lynn, Massachusetts. The document is also signed by James C. Howard as a witness. The second page contains two lines of shorthand.
Editorial Note: This is a signed statement by Choate, also signed by witness James Howard, in which Choate describes what one of her patients told her about Arens' treatment of the sick. Choate's patient, Miss Stewart, said that Arens would sit on one side of the patient and one of his students would sit on the other side. Arens would then tell the patient to take up Mary Baker Eddy as the cause of the disease.
