My Dear Dear Teacher

I called on Miss Brooks in WoburnEditorial Note: Woburn, Massachusetts and she was so pleased to see me for I found her quite as bad as some of the others, not sick in beliefs but mentally drowsy and with considerable effort I roused her and if she keeps awake she will be in LynnEditorial Note: Lynn, Massachusetts at the next meeting-

Of course I told her the cause and the cure of her condition and if she heeds me or follows you all will be well with her- The usual sign "displeasure of you" was first presented but soon wore off and the more I worked the faster it disappeared and she concluded you were the "Chosen of God," and you may rest assured I felt repaid for my afternoon and money. This is the field in which we must learn, to know. and though I often weary & get tired yet I press on sometimes right and ofttimes wrong knowing all these experiences are needed to fit me for active work in ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science where I hope to help and not hang like a millstone As Written: milestone round the neck of Science or like a deadweightAs Written:dead weight on the feet of Truth ever asking "Can God provide flesh for his people" "Can He furnish a table in the wilderness"Ps 78:19 Yea, they spake against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness?

And of myself?. Well we are and trying to make others so but, poor mother, so many need rousing and I am not so wide awake as I wish to be but do cheer up and somethingAs Written:some thing good will come if we are faithful as you have ever taught us, and we work. I want so much to see you but have been so often of late am afraid As Written: affraid I shall intrude or weary you with my coming. I'm going to West ActonEditorial Note: West Acton is a village of Acton, Massachusetts. to look after Edward J. Arens patient that was referred As Written: refered to the other day— I think she will need it & I want her to read your bookEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy
