I have not time to go to you so drop this line – There has been a bill handed to the Executive Committee of Church showing that today we are indebted for the use of Chickering Hall $180.00Editorial Note: $180.00 in 1886 is the equivalent of $6,003.49 in 2024. A letter came with this saying they had called on Mr Bradley, for pay for the Hall repeatedly but with no satisfaction. This is the first the Executive Com. knew of the debt– When we have questioned Mr Bradley we have not been able to find out anything. He gave me to understand the Hall was being paid for when the bill shows it was not and there has been money handed in since I knew but I do not know where it has gone to– Things look very strangely Mr Bradley I have always thought a great deal of but I think we are not dealing with Mr B–. who I always considered an honest man – but our dealings are more with the belief of animal Magnetism. There is one thing it will not do for this to go on farther if we want a "Hall" church meetings or a building lot. We are certainly are responsible as a church if we allow this to continue There is much that looks very strange in our church matters. We have not been able to rely on what Mr B–. says and things have not been attended to–

Mr Matthews complained because interest was not paid on the land when due. We shall have nothing unless there is a change. The church Com. meet Mr B–. Tuesday evening to consult with him in regard to matters referred to and are thinking of proposing a change in regard to building fund as well as the rest. Some of us have worked too hard for it to let it all slip through our fingers now.

Mr Bradley is neglecting his business in every direction to the great injury of the causeEditorial Note: The cause of Christian Science.– and two months ago was advising people not to study with you– This came to me directly from the parties themselves. The poor man is terribly blinded and I only hope he will be roused out of this condition to being himself once more and somehow I feel as if-he would– I have written this to show you the reasons why the church propose to take the steps mentioned and also to give you the opportunity to say something in regard to it if you wish, you may already have heard of this but I wished to be sure–
