Editorial Note: Letts writes to Clara Choate that he has heard that Mary Baker Eddy is very sick, but he knows that she is sick because of the malice of her enemies. He tells Choate that he has been very ill himself, with rheumatism in his hips, etc. Eddy has told him that he is not getting well because of mesmerism and that Choate has been successful in destroying mesmerism. He asks Choate if she will do anything she can for him.
