Editorial Note: Susie M. Lang is responding to a letter (not extant) that she received from Mary Baker
Eddy. She is very grateful for Eddy's support and counsel as she grows in understanding
and demonstrating Christian Science. She hopes that her father will have the opportunity to take a class from Eddy as he has been very receptive
to Christian Science. Although Lang hopes to join the Church of Christ (Scientist) at some point in the future, she feels unable to do so at present. She wants to first
earn enough money from her practice of Christian Science to enable her to contribute
to the Church, and she also feels that she lives too far away from Boston to attend
regularly.
