Manuscript Description: Handwritten by Edward N. Harris from Boston, Massachusetts.
Archival Note: Edward N. Harris took Primary Class Instruction from Mary Baker Eddy in January 1883,
followed by Normal Class in 1888. His wife, Mary E. Harris took Primary Class from Eddy in January 1883, followed by Normal Class in 1886.
Editorial Note: Harris tells Mary Baker Eddy that he and his wife are not at present able to accept
Mary Baker Eddy's invitation to study with her for even the moderate price she will
charge them. However, they hope to do so in the near future. In the meantime, their
great interest in Christian Science continues unabated, as does their study of Eddy's
book, Science and Health. And they have benefited from Christian Science treatments through prayer from Eddy's
student, Clara E. Choate. Harris asks that Eddy accept their best wishes for her health and happiness.
