I was dreaming of you last night. it was a very pleasant dream and on awaking this morning I wanted to write a few lines to you.
You will see by this letter that I am in Lisbon New HampshireAs Written:N.H. – you may remember that I spoke to you about coming here by invitation of one of my patients. I think of remaining until As Written: untill the middle of next week as the people seem anxious to have me. I had 300 cards printed and had them put into the Post Office foyer Saturday morning. so by the evening it was quite well known of my being here. Sunday I had three patients. Monday several callers. some that wanted to talk with me about the ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science. the people seem to be very favorably inclined toward the ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science but cautious of practitioners they know not of, but on seeing my card in the Journal as one of the approved ScientistsEditorial Note: Christian Scientists I am gaining in their confidence. so that I have some of the Elite of the town for patients. I have already had several invitations to call socially on the very best here.
The Landlord and his wife are old friends of ours so that it makes it very pleasant for me.
Dear Teacher will you please ask Dr Frye to send me 1 dozenAs Written:doz. sets of books Science & HealthEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.. on receipt of this. and I will pay for some on my return home.
I heard through one of Miss Bartletts patients, Mrs Wells. that you have had some pictures taken. she received a letter from Miss B- saying “Mrs Eddy has had some pictures taken and they look just like, her sweet self” just imagine As Written: immagine if I don’t As Written: dont want one oh I do so much want one and I am perfectly willing to pay for one Ah you will have so many friends that will want one. I hope you can send me one with the booksEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.. and I shall take great pleasure in showing it to my patients and friends – and when I get home I will have it framed handsomely As Written: handsomly . I do hope you have one for me. I do not think you have a Student that will appreciate a picture of your dear self more than I.
Please remember me to the brothers and sister Bartlett.
P.S.
I shall be very happy to receive a few lines from your dear self if you can find a spare moment.
