Accession: 551.58.027
Editorial Title: Fred J. Hutchinson to Mary Baker Eddy, April 10, 1883
Author: Fred J. Hutchinson
Recipient: Mary Baker Eddy
Date: April 10, 1883
Manuscript Description: Handwritten by Fred J. Hutchinson on lined paper from Boston, Massachusetts.
Editorial Note: Hutchinson tells Mary Baker Eddy that his father was being given Christian Science treatment through prayer by Mary B. Moarn. But he says that Eddy recommended that they switch to his father having treatment from Annie V. C. Leavitt, whom Eddy said was particularly successful in treating such cases. While Hutchinson believes that Moarn's prayers were helping his father, he tells Eddy that Leavitt's treatment did no good at all and his father has suffered a relapse and has lost faith in Christian Science. Hutchinson asks that Eddy make reparations for this situation. He also mentions a case of a person who recently died in Lawrence, Massachusetts, under the care, he believes, of one of Eddy's students.
