Christmas has come and gone and I should like to tell you how very much more beautiful the day seemed to me than ever before. It seems as if you dear Teacher were my stepping-stoneAs Written:stepping stone to Truth. Christ's As Written: Christs life does not seem at all fabulous to me now as it used to, but the real Life we may all understand.
There is a lady here I am greatly interested in, She was formerly As Written: formaly a Catholic- but was too advanced and honest to remain in the Church. I talked with her about Christian - Science - and before she left me she became so interested in it that she asked me to get her a bookEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy– which I did as soon as I could call upon Miss Burnham and get one. I heard from her this week– She is very much pleased with the contents. I wrote you some time ago -with regard to my Certificate - but have as yet received As Written: recieved no reply. I continue to work– wheneverAs Written:when ever the opportunity occurs- in every way I can. for the CauseEditorial Note: The cause of Christian Science.- I am a weak branch but hope to grow stronger. Have just returned from Miss Burnham's. Like myself she is anxious about her certificate– We are doing just what the Journal warns people against- practicing without a Certificate. We are sorry to annoy you but do please let us hear from you in some way. I have induced a lady to get S. &. H.Editorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy She has come to me for treatment- Mr. ShermanEditorial Note: Bradford Sherman or Roger Sherman of Chicago failed to reach her case - and I have undertaken it –Truth must reach her– I gave her my Journals and What is Christian Science by Rev. Adams. How I want to see you.
