I am desirous of attending your Normal Class as soon as I can, and I write you for information. When will you have anotherAs Written:an other class?
In Sep. 1885 I took my first lessons in Christian Science, and I have since taken two more courses, making three, of as many different teachers, one gentleman and two ladies, I find by reading the 'Journal,' that notwithstanding As Written: notwistanding I have taken three different terms of instruction I cannot enter the Normal Class, for neither of my teachers have been your Normal pupils. I wrote to Miss. Ellen Brown C.S.D. of ChicagoEditorial Note: Chicago, Illinois, for information, and she said if I took a course of Dr. E. H. Hammond of this city you would receive me in the Normal class, and I had made up my mind to do so, but since Mrs. Bissell has returned, she informs us you would not accept her to the Normal class without her taking the Primary class. I am acquainted with Mrs. Bissell, and I have thought it possible that you might not have exacted it of everyoneAs Written:every one, some are more fitted to grasp a thought or Truth than others. Now I will state in the first place if it is necessary for me to take the Primary instructions of you, in order that you will admit me to your Normal class, I shall have to give it up entirely, for circumstances over which I have no control will not permit me to come. In the first place my husband will not consent for me to be gone from home so long, and I do not feel able to do so at present, though I would much prefer taking the entire course of you, if it were possible, but at present I cannot see my way clear. My husband is willing for me to go and take the Normal class, but will not permit to stay longer. Will say I have been successful in practice As Written: pratice as my Patients can testify and should I come to BostonEditorial Note: Boston, Massachusetts I can bring Plenty of testimonials. I commenced practicing quietly just as soon as I had a ray of light, and I have continued up to the present time. I have also given my Lecture in three different places, and will send you a Newspaper item taken from the "Portland Review," and also one taken from the "Harbor Springs Independent," have had several other Newspaper notices, but have not got them now. I purpose As Written: perpose to lecture and teach, if I can fit myself to be able to, It seems to me my work has been sufficient proof that I have grasped the truth as far as I have been instructed. Now after having taken three different course of instructions and practiced one year and a half must I take the Primary class again of you or Hammond or anyone else, before you will allow me to come into the Normal class, If you say I shall be obliged to take of you, then I shall be obliged to give up the Normal class, if you insist on my taking of Hammond or some ScientistEditorial Note: Christian Scientist in this city I will consent As Written: concent to it, but I cannot be gone so far from home as long as it would take for both, instructions, Please dear Mrs. Eddy write me immediately, I am desirous of knowing at once.
