Calvin A. Frye, my secretary, is a Christian Scientist, and the pastor of the Congregational Church of which he was formerly a member said of him, "If Mr. Frye is not a Christian there is not one on earth." Mr. Frye does not own a cent of my property, real estate or personal. I conveyed it to him one year in trust, when I was transacting special business, and he afterwards conveyed it legally back to me. This transaction was not done at his suggestion, neither did it make him the owner of a cent of my property at the time, he only held it in trust for my benefit. I refer you to my attorney, General Frank S. Streeter of ConcordEditorial Note: Concord, New Hampshire, as to what I state.

I have given you a far better houseEditorial Note: Mary Baker Eddy had a large home built for George and his family in Lead, South Dakota, where they lived, which was given to them as a Christmas gift in 1899. than I occupy myself. I have given you money when you asked for it -- thousands of dollars. What have you ever done for your mother? And now you have disgraced yourself by what you said so falsely of her home, your mother's home! where you should naturally be with her in her declining years. I have always tried to make my people respect you, and is this your return for it?
