My beloved student,

Your grand, wise, and successful As Written: sucessful labor for our CauseEditorial Note: The cause of Christian Science. is fully apparent. I have all the way spoken of your faithfulness, but had gotten an idea that you had not the materials for a proper exhibitEditorial Note: A Christian Science exhibit at The World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago, Illinois. Eddy had Kimball take charge of planning for the Exposition.. Mr Bowers agreed with me (verbally) that if I gave him a copyright on the sketches of Pleasant View that he would get up a picture of it and would give me a halftoneAs Written:half tone photogravure not less than 5 feet in width when framed. This I thought would be an ornament for your beautifully prepared room. M.A.M. stopped him from fulfilling this bargain.

Now I purpose to send to you the crayon of myself in a pretty frame, and the scarf I throw around it with this picture It will be shipped tomorrow Aug. 1st. I hope no accident will befall it poor as it maybeAs Written:may be it is the best large one that I have of me at my present age. Why I have written, or rather communicated with you only occasionally, and through Judge Hanna was to save time! I have not had one week of vacation in 27 years! Tried to get a vacation this summerAs Written:sumer but each day have, so far, had company or so much writing to do that I have had more than belief would say I was able to accomplish

I have arranged a plan to help you on the matter of an address from Christian Scientist before the parliament of the World's Fair Congress which I have put into the hands of Judge Hanna to help me onEditorial Note: This is in reference to the World's Parliament of Religions at The World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago, Illinois. Christian Science was the only faith invited both to hold a denominational Congress of its own and to make a presentation of its teachings at a plenary session of the Parliament. Septimus J. Hanna would help Eddy prepare speakers for the Congress and on September 22, 1893, he would read Eddy's address to the World's Parliament of Religions.. You will hear from me on this subject as soon as it is mailed, I hope this week – by letterEditorial Note: This letter is not extant..

Accept my personal gratitude for the wisdom, labor and success that are manifested through you in all this matter at ChicagoEditorial Note: Chicago, Illinois

My love to dear Mrs Kimball

Affectionately yours
