It is historic that she has preserved unity in the marriage relation. Last summer a student wrote Mrs. Eddy that she had left her husband and did not intend to live with him again. Mrs. Eddy counselled her to return home and live with him and she immediately returned to him. Mrs. Eddy always counsels husbands and wives to bear and forbear with each other and to "dwell together in unity."Ps 133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

Mrs. Eddy is distinguishedAs Written:disguished for her tenderness and sympathy. In rebuking a students Mrs. Eddy has used this expression "You would tear my heart out and trample on it". Hence the attempt to turn the very expression in an opposite direction , by a slight change such as has been made in some articles published

"SHE-DEVIL" IN LYNN.

The people in Lynn honor Mrs. Eddy. They have purchased the house, 8 Broad street, in Lynn, where she used to live, and intend to keep it as a memorial of her.

Her charities are proverbial. On an average, in three years, she gave away over $80,000Editorial Note: 80 000 each year (See Christian Science HistoryEditorial Note: This was a book written by Septimus J. Hanna and published in 1899.)

CHURCH LOT.

The mortgage was bought by Mrs. Eddy, and the property redeemed by her and conveyed in trust to the Christian Science Board of Directors for the benefit of the Mother church. She is Honored and beloved by ministers and Christians in the old church of which she became a member at about twelve years of age.

HER FIRST HUSBAND COL. G. W. GLOVER died of yellow fever, in its worst type.
