Dear Students

I have thought best to write you a line this morning touching our present difficulties well knowing a word to the wise is sufficient

The party of whom Miss B has spoken to you is not so much to be dreaded as before he was in part found out

It is the serpent that is hidden and ready to spring upon you unawares that does the most harm and remember you can bruise his head and he can only bruise the heelGen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Truth destroys error but error cannot destroy Truth My dear husband and myself have since we were married had to defend ourselves against the malice of Spofford as a man fights for his life against an assassinAs Written:assasin We can now handle him because we have fully found him out and shall make no more mistakes on the side of charity but give the—his due by letting him alone or leaving him to the penalty of his own crimes He has always relied on me to help him out of difficulties and I have done it not knowing the hidden evil of his nature and he rewards us by even attempting not only to kill us (so to speak) but to injure my students and turn them from the truth to believe his lies or make them suffer for not doing so Whenever you feel ill or any dislike to go forward in your work or any doubt springing up in relation to our faithfulness to the cause of Truth then learn a parable of the fig treeMatt 24:32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: Matt 24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Matt 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Matt 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Mark 13:28 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near: Mark 13:29 So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors. Mark 13:30 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done. Mark 13:31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. Luke 21:29 And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; Luke 21:30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. Luke 21:31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. Luke 21:32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. Luke 21:33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. and know that Spofford is nigh

Take him up in this way "depart from me ye that work iniquity"Matt 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. and "let the reward of your hands be given you"Isa 3:11 Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.

"The soul that sinneth shall die"Ezek 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. in other words speak to him this great truth that all error is mortal and that he is adding error and mortality to his own mortal life into that of th e students instead of Truth and health by this unprincipled mesmerism—and thinking to govern every one through his own erring will; and to hate those who love truth and to love those who hate it. This is just what he has been doing or trying to do to us and my students ever since last Jan. and we must now meet it as it deserves to be met This period is the six thousandth one and corresponds to the opening of the sixth seal spoken of by the Revelator. Rev. 6:12 In the 12th chap. of Revelation you will find it described and in the falling one he designatedAs Written:dessignated as the Dragon with the Lamb's face The Dragon is mesmerism and the Lamb’s face signifies it being linked to science through belief "a false Christ" that shall arise in the latter daysMatt 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Tell Miss Brown she need not fear putting the sins of Spofford on his own head The innocent should not suffer for the guilty Keep her thoughts from me for I have all I can bear Do not name Spoffords course to Miss.
