I would like to see you if only for a few moments for then I could explain the expedience As Written: expedienc of my measure But as it is you will trust me I think to understand it The enclosed. As Written: inclosed is going to be sworn to by members of the Association as a protection against any future effort of theirs looking in a direction to injure me and my students This attested under oathEditorial Note: See document L09059 for a copy of this “oath.” will be published in my forth coming edition of Science And HealthEditorial Note: The third edition of Science and Health was published on August 17, 1881. with the names of the others Please attend to it at once and return at your very earliest moment
