Editorial Title: Silas J. Sawyer and Jennie E. Sawyer to Mary Baker Eddy, February 18, 1884
Author: Silas J. Sawyer  Jennie E. Sawyer
Recipient: Mary Baker Eddy
Date: February 18, 1884
Manuscript Description: Handwritten by Silas J. Sawyer from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Editorial Note: Silas J. Sawyer and Jennie E. Sawyer write to Mary Baker Eddy regarding the death of Silas' patient, Charles Briggs, and they share with her that they are trying to figure out why he died. They think that mental malpractice is the likely cause. Silas and Jennie also believe that they are being attacked by mental malpractice, and they describe to Eddy the physical symptoms they feel are resulting from this. They wonder how the malpractitioners have gotten their names. They tell Eddy that Jennie Harvey has been corresponding with Clara E. Choate and that they think that Harvey may have told Choate about the Sawyers and that Choate may have informed the malpractitioners. The Sawyers go on in the letter to discuss other students of Christian Science, including Mary D. Fuller, Fannie M. Silsbee, Mattie Williams, Bradford Sherman, Martha E. Sherman, and Roger Sherman.
