Dear Madam;

We have been much interested in your work and the work of those who have imbibed your teachings– But upon the theory you advance in your book "Science and HealthEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy" how is it possible for profane wicked men to be successful in treating disease?

However, our object in writing is to learn if it is necessary to attend a Metaphysical College in order to practice your system intelligently or can we begin from a study of the book?– Please give us terms etc for attendance at the school of which you are President and believe us

Very Truly Yours
Dr and Mrs Frain

To Mrs Eddy

Another question! – Can we not give our patients pure sugar of milk globules or pellets to satisfy them and we treat them satisfactorily to ourselves & them metaphysically?

We can reach many of our patrons in this way who utterly refuse mental treatments— We are willing to pay you any reasonable fee for your opinion which may lead us to be of more use to the suffering & trust you will give us your early attention.
